دورِ حاضرہ میں بیعت

فی زمانہ بیعت بہت مشکل ہے۔ تعلیم اور ذہانت بہت بڑھ گئی ہے۔ مغربی اندازِ فکر نے ہم میں خود سوچنے کی صلاحیت بہت زیادہ پیدا کردی ہے۔ اس لئے بیعت کرنے والا پھندے میں پھنس جاتا ہے۔ بیعت کی یہ پہلی شرط ہے کہ سالک خیال میں بھی مرشد کی نافرمانی نہ کرے کیونکہ مرشد خیال میں فیض پہنچاتا ہے اور اگر سالک دل میں بھی نافرمانی کا مرتکب ہو جائے تو نقصان کا احتمال ہے۔

"Ba'iyat (oath of spiritual allegiance) is difficult in today's age. Education and intellect have progressed rapidly. The Western way of thinking has dramatically increased our individual capacity to think. That is why, one who does ba'iyat gets caught in a trap. The first condition of ba'iyat is that a spiritual follower should not disobey his guide even in his thoughts because the guide sends blessings through them and if a follower considers disobedience even in his heart, he is most likely to bear loss"
